In 1754, the Penn family granted the land that encompasses Nazareth today to the Moravian settlers with The Barony of the Rose. The only payment required for this generous land grant was a single rose to be delivered to William Penn every year on June 24th. This simple transaction established Nazareth as an innovative agricultural and economic hub that has evolved into the thriving community it is today.
